You Must Be... by Noah Levinson P. Wilson                 The resemblance was so striking that the cliche left my mouth almost automatically: “You must be Pierre’s brother.” He was. Light brown and reddish hair, a ruddy complexion, some ineffable quality in the eyes and lips—it was just short of eerie, like seeing some alternate-universe version of Pierre himself.              Pierre, who has Down syndrome, is in his late thirties, well into his second decade at Triform. He is easily one of the most popular figures in the community, winning many hearts with a combination of charm and calculated mischief, without the benefit of very much language ability. Pierre is just great. Nearly everyone who works with him falls in love. 

Baking in Triform: Love in the batter by Meg Henderson Holly and Jamie I have a large collection of cookbooks, some I turn to more often than others. They are usually seasonally inspired with fresh organic produce as the staple ingredient. I am actually lulled to sleep often by looking at glossy photos of “ Classic Irish Cabbage and Bacon soup” or “ Roast Lamb with Lemons and Rosemary.” I wonder if this makes me a little odd. I am thrilled to discover when travelling a ‘Whole Foods' market or a ‘Trader Joes', and remember as a student in sub -tropical South Africa taking a bus on Fridays to the Indian markets in the city center to buy fresh curry leaves and coriander for dhal; a marvelously economical dish, lasting several days. However, I digress. I am inspired by the pictures of steaming pasta with pesto and can smell summer in basil’s almost acrid green smell. Twas the Night Before Christmas: Triform's Christmas Play Article by Takeshi Suesada  We performed the play "Twas the Night Before Christmas" on December 18th and 19th.  On the 18th, the performance was primarily for people in Triform.  Friends of Triform in the local area, such as people from Camphill Hudson, also came to see the performance. On the 19th, we performed for the families and friends of our students, apprentices and journeymen/women. Some locals friends also came, including people from Camphill Village Copake.

Triform's New Board Chair: Welcome Dev Barker! Dev Barker was born in Boston in 1938. After attending of Noble and Greenough School, Dev graduated from Harvard in 1960, and then completed a two-year stint in the Navy. He spent the next 10 years as a magazine editor in New York City. He then returned to the Boston area, completed Harvard Business School’s Program in Management Development, and joined an insurance agency where he remained until retirement 36 years later. Much of his practice centered on private schools, small colleges and museums.  Dev has been an active volunteer and Board member in numerous non-profits over the years, including the New York YC (race committee chairman), America’s Cup Hall of Fame, Cruising Club of America (Bermuda Race chairman, twice), and the Peabody Essex Museum. He has chaired the Annual Fund and served as a Nobles class secretary for many years and co-chaired his 25 th and 45 th Harvard College reunions.  Holly Barker...

What is home?   We all have a sense for this--the places where we feel at home, the people that create it with and for us. It is a place where we eat, rest, sleep, laugh, get sick, cry, celebrate, learn, and recognize each other. In Triform, our houses are our homes and are central places of self-development, relationship building, and skill acquisition. 

The Frosted Calf The Churchtown Dairy has seen many calves born this summer. One however, stands out brightly for us this season. Born three weeks ago, this Brown Swiss frosted heifer calf stands out with its glow. Is this image a collection of our pure intentions gathered over summer's work and devotion? Like a star, raised and possibly offered to the depths and vastness of winter nights to come. The land and the herd feel good here at Churchtown Dairy. Soon the the beautiful display of fall's colors will vanish. This calf, with its white glow as a symbol, will dissolve and be absorbed into the winter's cosmic white. Family and Friends gathering  October 24 th 2015 Families visiting for Friends and family This year we invited friends and family to come a little later in the month for a fun, activity filled day. We hosted an intimate dinner and had productive conversation in the conference room on Friday night for the Journeymen families. During this, the Journeymen themselves went out for an enjoyable meal at a diner, which a generous person in the restaurant paid for!
